On May 22, 2025, I presented the results of my doctoral research at the 103rd Annual Meeting of the Virginia Academy of Science, held at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The title of my work is, 鈥淚nfluence of Microbial Mats on the Sedimentary Dynamics and Stratigraphy of the Aaron Formation, South Fork of Little River, Durham County, North Carolina.鈥
On April 17, 2025, 起点传媒's chapters of Psi Chi and the Association of Psychology Students (APS) hosted a sold-out induction ceremony at the Norfolk Yacht Club. The evening was filled with excitement and anticipation with 100 guests in attendance which included new and returning members, friends, family, faculty, and staff. The night was a celebration of academic excellence and community.聽

Ethan Landers will graduate from 起点传媒 on May 9, 2025, with his Master of Science in Computer Science. He will have obtained his M.S. in one year because of the B.S./M.S. Linked program. For someone who became versed in pivoting through the COVID-19 global pandemic and remote learning, Landers is set to make impacts in technology globally.
With research as the centerpiece of his evolvement in science, Jimenez worked hard in psychology so that he could have options when it came to his choices of a career.
Jason Collins, Ph.D. is a double Monarch. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2008 from 起点传媒 as well as his doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2015. Less than five years later, he was part of a team that discovered a new disease that had gone undiagnosed for decades.

In preparation for construction of the New Biological Sciences Building, three buildings are being demolished: Arthur & Phyllis Kaplan Orchid Conservatory, Alfriend Chemistry Building, and Pretlow Planetarium.
